Artifacts and Artichokes is a very unique home and garden shop established in 2019 during the height of the pandemic. We specialize in rare plants, uncommon garden decor, and curated home and garden gifts that celebrate the eclectic and the extraordinary. Our shop is known for offering oddities, handcrafted items, vintage treasures, and modern artisanal designs, all in one inspiring space.

Our love for vintage style is reflected in our carefully selected props and reimagined display fixtures. It’s the juxtaposition of new and old—combining antique charm with contemporary craftsmanship—that makes Artifacts and Artichokes truly distinctive.

We prioritize locally sourced, USA-made, and fair trade products, proudly supporting independent artists, craftspeople, and small-batch makers. Our background in retail management and our roots in landscape design (via Nature’s Elements Landscaping, started over 20 years ago) have deeply informed our aesthetic and mission.

When expanding our landscape and garden design business, we moved into a space larger than we needed—and turned that challenge into an opportunity to create a shop that blends botanical beauty with interior design.

    In the wild, Monstera uses aerial roots to climb up trees. Indoors, it appreciates a moss pole or trellis for support, which helps mimic its natural growth pattern.

  4. Low Maintenance Houseplant:
    Monstera is popular as a houseplant because it's relatively easy to care for. It thrives in bright, indirect light and only needs water when the top inch of soil dries out.

  5. It Can Flower and Fruit:
    In its natural environment or under ideal greenhouse conditions, Monstera can produce a spadix-type flower and a fruit that resembles a green corn cob. The fruit is edible and tastes like a blend of banana and pineapple when ripe!

calathea Orbifolia

  1. Stunning Foliage:
    Calathea orbifolia is prized for its large, round leaves with striking silvery-green stripes. The bold, patterned foliage makes it a popular decorative plant for indoor spaces.

    This tropical beauty originates from the humid rainforests of Bolivia, where it thrives in shaded, moist environments under the jungle canopy.

ficus Elastica Ruby

  1. Striking Variegation
    The 'Ruby' variety features vibrant pink, red, and green variegated leaves, making it a popular decorative plant for adding color indoors. Great plant for home or office space

    Like other rubber plants, it helps remove toxins such as formaldehyde from the air, contributing to a healthier indoor environment.
