Spray heads are not as effective.  Water will not get to all the plants.  It  can also cause damage to your home's exterior.  While spray heads are commonly found in many landscapes, they are not the best way to water.

Once  plants  grow they can  start cover the spray heads.  This prevents other plants from getting water.  It will make you rely more on saturation than actual effective watering.  Drip irrigation is best for plants.
